A few things to know.
What is Youcabulary?
Youcabulary is a vocabulary learning app for Japanese and Mandarin Chinese, currently in development. Build study around words that matter to you, use spaced repetition to review them, and choose the tools and starting screen that fit your routine.
Do I have to choose one learning style?
No. These are starting points, not boxes. Use a dictionary during class, study a deck later and explore words from a show at the weekend.
Which languages does Youcabulary support?
The current app supports Japanese and Mandarin Chinese. Japanese has the broader toolkit, including media vocabulary, grammar, kana and phrase features. Availability differs by language and platform.
Can I use it alongside Anki?
Yes. Youcabulary supports Anki-compatible .apkg import and export on native platforms. It focuses on word-centred learning; it is not a replacement for every Anki card type or feature.
Does it work offline?
Core study and bundled dictionaries use local data. Optional services such as external image search, connected knowledge services and the experimental conversation feature require a connection. Cross-device sync is not currently available.
Where can I download it?
Public download links will appear here when a release is available. The app is currently in development.
